Re: Groundbreaking work on 11-man ballot
I have often wondered why the red piece on square 4 and the white piece on square 29 were not removed in the balloting. Removing either of these two men would result in many playable openings. Don't know how many but it would probably be several hundred. Another way to do 11-man would be to remove a...

Was watching Jack Nicholson play someone the other day and the board was turned the wrong way. The single corner was on the right. One of the f...

Re: Biggest Prize fund in history.
$25,000 at this year's National 3-move may be the biggest ever. The last two national tournaments in Branson have had $20,000. I believe one year a long time ago a Studebaker car was given to the winner.

Re: Magnetic Checker Set
Yes, I do just about all of my analysis and problem solving with the magnetic board while sitting in my Lazy Boy. I place the pieces removed from the board in a crease in my shirt. It works great. I have mailed 25 of these Checker/Chess sets to my friends.

Magnetic Checker Set
I recently bought two magnetic Checker sets from Walmart. The board is about half the size of a regulation board. About 9 and 1/2 inches. The Checkers are great. They stick to the board and you can stack them for a king. You can actually hold the board upside down and they won't fall. The board is b...
