Re: PDN Question
Ok, I'm a bit late on this one but PDN2 is what I try to adhere to when creating pdn-files. And on the resource stuff: as long as it's definition is OS-independent I do not really care, my parsers ignore everything they don't understand . I have been meaning to ask you for a while Murray. Have you n...

Re: Observations from your ACF President
Hi Matthew,
I'm sorry to be negative but any attempt to check user login based on IP will fail. Everytime my router reconnects to my provider I will get a new email address! I don't see any return of the invested time in such measures.
Regards,
Hans

Re: Beta testers needed for checkers site
Hi Matt,
Tables are fine when you are showing records. That's what they are for. Css comes in handy when doing positioning an styling. If you start nesting tables in tables etc .. you may be better of with css.
Tons of site out there but this one I like in particular:

Re: Postings to be deleted
Hi, I agree with the Liam and nursie .. err .. Jan And Jason too, if used correctly the edit feature is a good one. However, the result now is that the people that abused the feature in the first place get more than they bargained for and even get the topic removed all together! I'm not clear on WHY...

Wot No Lindus? Tournament Announcement !
Hi all, Since kurnik has also cancelled the Wed tournaments I thought this may be the perfect time to set this event as some of us played in those tournaments: Private Tournament, December 28th at 21:15 CET. If you want to know what time this is for you the easiest would be to click the link below a...

Re: Beta testers needed for checkers site
Yes, Ingo is right. A complete list of countries will be difficult and a 100% political correct will be nearly impossible. I'm working at a company going through a merger right now and there is a mismatch for a few country names like for example Palestine and some countries I never even heard of. I ...

Re: Beta testers needed for checkers site
What do you mean by "tournament player"? RL or tournaments at the sites in question?
I have participated in IYT tournaments but these days I'm only in the ladders and I'm not in the countries you mention

Re: Comment from ACF President .............................
Hi Alan, I understand your wishes about this forum (about checkers, tournaments, anouncements, etc.) but I think that is what George intends his forum to be too! Some of the discussions you'd prefer not having on this forum, involved some non-anon posters which I respect highly but the truth is, we ...

Re: The one and only Mr Checkers
Can't resist being the devil's advocate now: although no guest posts are involved now I don't see much difference from some of the highly-critised BBS postings!
That being said. I consider both Lindus and Ms. Becky to be my checkers friends.
