Re: Ed King passed away April 30, 2015

Ed was a true gentleman. I have known him and played him checkers for over 35 years. He was everything good about checkers and sportsmanship.
I will miss the "Champion of Texas".

Re: The 109th Annual Illinois State April 5 & 6

J.R. ,

Is there a problem with the link for Results on this tournament? I get an error message when I try to view the Results at NC checkers.

Best regards,

Re: Oklahoma City weather disaster.

Just read this. Yes, I and my family have been very fortunate and blessed to have been spared through this time. Roy Little also safe. We do however, have many others in our area and state going through a lot. A man who works for my oldest son lost everything. Thanks again for the thought and concer...

Re: TN Tourney

I noticed an error in crosstable on NC site.
May not matter to ratings but I only lost 2 games to Jim Morrison.
The crosstable has me losing 2 games to Nick Boatman at the same time. Round 6
You may find, he actually was playing #5.

Thanks

Re: 2013 US National 11-man Ballot

Congrats to all, Once again, order of finish not much surprise. Master players are also very good crossboard players. Chicken and Egg kind of thing. Must have some crossboard ability to understand pp. So much junk been published that has to be sifted through. Something published in a book doesn't ma...

Re: Swiss Tournament Automatic Generator

Over 20 years ago, I was paired with Gene Lindsay(how I got enough points I don't recall) about mid-tournament. I was rated much lower and no where near his level at the time. I was suppose to be Shark snack. Well, I won a game. To this day, I can recall the game and delight in that win.... Give the...

Re: ACF Elections

Not trying to hijack this thread, but the savings of going electronic with bulletins for many of us, would save the ACF considerably. With some incentive this might work. I keep getting my paper bulletin mailed, and have been scanning my old bulletins to get them in pdf format. I would be willing to...

Re: 2012 District 9 results (so far)

Congrats Eric, A fine win against a tuff group of players. I have been playing a few games of 1/3 and some 3/2 games. It hurts my wrist physically with the mouse. However, you have about convinced me that fast games could possibly improve the old Okies game. Well, on second thought, about anything w...
