The American Checker Federation

W. Call's Yates Checker Player gives it as R. Yates - R. Bowen, 1877 and calls it the greatest game ever. Boland's Famous Positions calls it R. Bowen - R. Yates, 1877. Normally, I would trust Yates Checker Player. But Boland usually checked his sources.

I have corrected an error in the 2017 GAYP National. The corrected file is at https://www.usacheckers.com/forum/viewt ... nal#p33966. If you already have the uncorrected file, in the second Kondlo - Scarpetta game, Kondlo played White.
