Re: South African Draughts

Considering the MSSA currently plans no trial because of lack of funding at present ( i wholeheartedly hope that changes, and i wish you the best in your efforts to change that global trend) why cannot Mr Kondlo attend considering someone is willing to sponsor him as the #1 ranked player??? Isn't i...

Re: South African Draughts

Mr Webster, it is nice of you to join the discussion. i only have 2 questions and i do sincerely hope you have the time to answer them plainly. 1) When will the supposed trials to find South Africa's representative be held???? 2) will mr Kondlo be allowed to participate in those trials????? Re: South African Draughts

Out of all the countries that I have visited (UK, USA, New Zealand, Netherlands, Finland, Italy, Greece, Australia, South Korea, and Angola) only two (NewZealand and South Korea) currently do not require South Africans to obtain a visa. The task obtaining visas for many of the MSSA's teams can be qu...

@ Tommy Canning

Pleased be advised that I reserve all my rights.

In fact, I demand an apology.

It is indeed a pity that people who should be more aware sound off before knowing all the facts.

Re: THE KONDLO AFFAIR!!

I hate to say that tommyc (whoever he is) has no grasp of the issue at all, and Alan, well what can I say..... As I have explained several times to Alan telephonically: 1. There is absolutely no personality clash whatsoever between myself and Lubabalo (and since Alan thinks that there is some sort o...

Re: WHAT DO ACF MEMBERS THINK

You may all be interested to note that today Alan Milhone and I had a long (about an hour) telephonic conversation. In such conversation, we thrashed out all our differences and we both listened to each other in order to fully understand each others points of view. I wish that I had spoken to Alan s...

Re: WHAT DO ACF MEMBERS THINK

Josh, you are right it is as easy as filling in a form. Lubabalo has two choices. The first to register through an existing club, or secondly to start his own club. I believe that Lubabalo wishes to start his own club, which does require a little more than just one form, but whichever he chooses we ...

Re: WHAT DO ACF MEMBERS THINK

Question: since the MSSA objects to sending Lubabalo to the 2007 QT and to the recently completed WCM, are they sending any players of their own choosing to Beijing? Also, if Lubabalo is "unaffiliated" with your group, are there other competing checkers/draughts federations in SA, as ther...

Re: WHAT DO ACF MEMBERS THINK

First let me say the MSSA has no issues whatsoever with Lubabalo affiliating, and the MSSA has since August 2007 tried to get him to rejoin. Now that Alan has taken an active interest in encouraging him to affiliate, I am sure that it won't take long. Having seen the ACF team in action in Morecombe ...

Re: WHAT DO ACF MEMBERS THINK

Dear Alex Thanks for your views - they arealways welcome. Wow, that is great to read that the ACF is willing to send players to South Africa for to play social matches and exhibition games. However, may I suggest that the trip should be expanded in scope to include official test matches? If official...

WHAT DO ACF MEMBERS THINK

As most of you are already aware, Mind Sports South Africa is recognised through South African law as the controlling body for draughts and checkers (as well as other games) in South Africa. What we have seen recently is a fair amount of meddling in our affairs by the ACF, who have taken it upon its...
