Non-checkers Website Projects
Hello everyone, I recently started my own business doing Web design, SEO marketing, and social media management. Trying to get away from working for "the man". I was wondering if some of your could take a look at http://springstattoo.com and give me some honest criticism of it? This is one...

Re: ACF Election 2015.
It is a step in the right direction Alex, sort of.
I think the ACF needs to get rid of districts completely, there's not enough players to separate them by region anymore LOL

Re: ACF Election 2015.
Acker was forced to resign as treasurer because of his lack of integrity and professionalism... Can just anyone apply to be President of ACF? The guy isn't even allowed to post in the forums... is this a joke? I know we've been scraping the bottom of the barrell... but this is a little ridiculous lol

Re: Ratings
K factors are as follows. Which I had read was the most accurate k-factor Players below 2100 --> K-factor of 32 used Players between 2100 and 2400 --> K-factor of 24 used Players above 2400 --> K-factor of 16 used. Rating is scored round by round. So each round a players rating is technically change...

Re: Ratings
You guys seem to have the correct understanding. The system we use is ELO - this can be googled to get all the information you want about the system. The old system that would jump people as high as 2700 and as low as 1000 caused HUGE gaps in ratings. Players were sometimes hundreds of points in dif...

Re: Ratings
I knew this would eventually happen... Okay so it seems some players from the old system recently played in a tournament and are now part of the active ACF ratings. We have a B division player in the top 4 LOL I propose we add an exclamation mark or something along those lines next to players who do...

Re: Hotel Rooms for Nationals
I agree that most libraries would not be a good choice for a venue like nationals, unless it was a main branch that was very large. I think restaurants would be a good option also. Many tournament players bring family with them who would contribute to paying customers for the restaurant. Many restau...

Re: Hotel Rooms for Nationals
I didn't get a chance to completely read the book John put together on each of the possible venues so I did not voice my opinion and therefore do not have any room to complain now. I will state my opinion and also suggest future alternatives. I do think that expecting 30 rooms to get booked for a GA...

Re: Checker Books You'd Like to See
on icheckers.net, if you look under "Game Search Options" Check the radio box for "Player" and type in Gonotsky, then click "Submit" There are 328 results, which means 328 games of his. Some are in the tournament database, some in Kears, some in Basic Checkers, and some...

Re: 3-moves WCM 2013.
3-1 is quite a deficit in a WCM. Goes to show that Alex has some tricks up his sleeve when he needs them. I am really excited to see what unfolds in the next rounds. Great match guys.... keep it up

When is the last time you have been behind in a WCM Alex? I am very excited to see what you have up your sleeve to get some games back!
