Howard L Owens' Library for Sale

I just found out Howard L. Owens' extensive checker library is for sale. His daughter said there were like 500 (books, magazines, pamphlets, bulletins, newsletters, manuscripts, papers) She will bring several boxes to each of the tournaments including the GAYP National, so here's your chance to get great quality hb originals. :bounce:

March 6th - 8th, 2009 Tennessee State Open Tournament
July Southern Checker Tournament
August 1st - 7th 2009 GAYP National

As most of you know Howard Owens lived a long life and most of his life as a checker player and promoter of the game. He was the ACF Treasurer for many years before Charles Walker. Howard fought cancer in his later years and lived much longer than the doctors predicted he would live.
