What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

I found a couple problems I will have fixed immediately,

1. Gayp Opening search seems to be broken
2. My Key Openings is missing about 1500 games, I'll upload the rest

On a happy note I will be adding Bolands Familiar Themes, somewhere around 900 games and also 21st Century 9-13 which is around 600 games.

Thank you guys again for your support

Update Time:

We added an auto play feature to the website that allows u to click autoplay on any game and it will go through the game move by move in 1 second increments. We made it a little more compatible with IE but still working on that. We will also be adding a "Year" drop down menu to oca database since it consists of 35,000 games. we fixed some other bugs with searches and added a progress bar when things are loading. be adding famous positions and the rest of key openings soon as well. This would all be done buy mt coder went on vacation.

Thank you all,

P.S can I get more comments as to what u guys like, dislike, or would like added?

OK so we made flip board flip on current position instead of start game over, we added year search to oca database, we added bolands familiar positions, 21st century 9-13, and complete copy of key openings, we also fixed quite a few bugs. The only things left are removing 3-move opening in gamedata column from fen games and fixing an issue with kinging which is a small glitch. we added a little more support to IE.... it is good enough to function but we are not going much further into it.... it is compatible with firefox web browser and that's how it is going to be. we will be adding a report error link so if anyone runs into a glitch or error they can easily report the issue to us so we can look into it. We are trying to just be done with this part of the site so we can move onto ratings since that seems to be a big problem at the moment.

Thank you

We are still working ratings but it is very slow going. Vadim is not as motivated to do them as he was the checkers games so it will take a little more time than originally estimated. Especially since everyone started using wcdf player id's in cross tables and trying to calculate by names is just stupid. we are re-vamping ID's and trying to approach everything that way.

Jim Loy has been kind enough to share some stuff for my website. He has contributed Sturges 1800 and Andersons second edition. Not sure if i will add Andersons considering I already have 7th edition on the site. But Sturges will definitely be a nice added treat.

Is everyone enjoying the site so far?

I think this website is a great thing, and you are doing a great job in improving it. I have a nice-size library I could donate some books as well. I will generate a list of some of the stuff I have that are not on there and you can pick and choose what you would like me to send.

Physical books. You can scan them and copy them into a different format (ie pdn). We do it at work pretty much every day. If you need me to do it I could.
