10th Anniversary of Sep 11th

Post by vhabgood »

Greetings to all the checker players across the globe,

We are currently approaching the 10th anniversary of the world-changing event that took place in 2001. I would venture to say that the majority of us could easily recall exactly where we were and what we were doing when the first plane hit the World Trade Center. I hope that on this anniversary, we can all reflect on that day in whatever manner you deem most appropriate.
The game of checkers is amazing. It allows human beings the chance to transcend all political, religious, sociological, and many other differences. It allows us to be united. So on this day, I ask that we all stand united. Always keep our prespective in order, and to not engage in such attacks against one another over minor differences. We are checker players; a group that the majority of the world does not know and understand, but for those who manage to stumble upon our presence, they will know that we share something special!
-Sincerely and Respectfully,
Vic
