All names are listed by the last name alphabetic order. I will vote a bit later  Pool time is unlimited and everyone can re-vote: change opinion

What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

Good evening everyone

I too like the line up, but would advise against anyone voting for me , as my degree will end too near the middle of 2012 and thus compromise my preparation, and thus participation for the next qualifier.

So I vote for me as being the most unlikely candidate

I would like to sat though that if a tournament were to be held with these 10 propositions + Alex, then it would be anything but far from interesting !!!!! And I believe that a prediction of the outcome would be hazardous to say the least.

Further to what I have said, I would like to congratulate MIKI on a fine challenge ( I may just pop down to Italy for the Italian nationals some time!!), and would like to thank Alex for "waiting " for me    , congratulations

William

PS, My simultaneous is still on in Dublin and is being organised by Bernie Coll. It should be fun, as I have not touched the board since 2009 Scottish, except a private traing match in Glasgow against Shane.

Bernie , please send me by mail your home number, and as soon as I touch down in Dublin I will call you.

Yes, I will definitely go to Manchester in August 2012 (or whenever ?) to support USA team and fighting for medal.

In Beijing 2008 USA team collected only two medals: gold in Checkers event and bronze in Woman Bridge Team event. This placed overall USA team at 11th among 140+ countries. This is ridiculous  and I hope we'll do it better in 2012.

See link to overall countries ranking list in Beijing 2008 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Mind_Sports_Games

Alex

What do you like about checkers?: Checkers is a good stimulating exercise for the mind. At age 67 I'm still having fun and still learning after quitting for 17 years and starting again with the North Carolina Open Checker Tournament

As of today Richard Hallett is the only living player who has a positive score in 3 moves on me. I wish Richard will do well and I play match with him some day. He missed his 3-moves prime time in 1999 when as winner of USA Open (1998) he supposed to play match with Ron King but this match never materialized ... pity
