As readers of Tom Wiswell's excellent Science of Checkers and Draughts will know, a match between a team from the New York Chess and Checker Club and one from Belfast took place in 1968.
Two questions: first, does anyone have a record of the games played (possibly on 2-move)? Secondly, I believe the original intention was a match between New York and London. Does anyone know why this fell through? (It drew heavy criticism from Derek Oldbury in his Square World magazine, but the reasons behind it have never been published.)
