I just took a minute to check in to see how my friend Sergio was doing.
Thank you for your comments.

My father was the person who introduced me to the game of draughts / checkers and whom was a huge influence in me developing that interest. He took me with him when he went to play in tournaments and matches while I was in my early-mid teens. He competed in many local, regional, and national tournaments as a player and was a prize winner many times. He reached his 90th Birthday last month which we celebrated as a family. He became ill some days later, was hospitalised, and the outcome became apparent two weeks ago. I will miss him dearly.

I'd like to take this oppertunity to thank the many players who have visited our home over the past few days. The funeral is tomorrow at 1pm.
