Two more games were played. They were quite fast, less than an hour per each game.
Something unexpected was happended at the end of the second game.
Borghetti got relaxed in a clear drawn position and made a big blunder.
So Kondlo got the game by a shot.

The score is 3 draws and 1 win in favour of Kondlo.

Here are the games:

What do you like about checkers?: I love the simplicity/complexity of the game. I became interested in the game as a child playing with my grandfather. Then studied checkers more in depth as a late teenager, but got away from the game for a while. Recently I have gotten my excitement back for the game. I'm working hard to improve my game. I hope to enter an ACF tournament in 2017. I check the forums daily and would like to interact with the other players. Thanks!

This just shows the beauty of the game! It proves that you can't be relaxed for even one move against such high level players!

Today's game were over. The contenders played four more games. They were very fast.
Borghetti tried to change his strategy in the first game, but Kondlo made a nice sacrifice to keep out of trouble and to force a simple draw.
In the next game Borghetti made a losing move in the midgame. Kondlo didn't miss the chance and got the game.

Presentely Kondlo is leading by the score of 6 draws and 2 wins.

It's better to focus on the 15th move, 12-16. It is very weak move.
The endgame is hard to draw. Before checking the program we all thought it was an easy win for white.

Here's the best line for both sides:

15. 12-16?? 24-20 16. 16-19 18-15 17. 17-22 15-11 18. 7x16 20x11 19. 19-23 31-27 20. 22-26 27x18 21. 26-31 14-9 22. 6x13 18-14 23. 1-6 14-9 24. 6-10 9-6 25. 10-14 6-1 26. 14-18 1-6 27. 18-23 6-10 28. 31-26 11-7 29. 3-8 10-15 30. 8-12 * draw
It's a published endgame. Red draws the game because has the move.

Peterson draw - red keep mans on 13 and 12.

White to move, red draw.

The main idea in this posiotion is - red shall not try to advance their mans on 12 or 13 which leads to loss.

And yea-a-a … of course you absolutely right - 12-16 was out of order move, that's for sure!

Red to move.

12-16? very weak.

17-22 (or 7-11) works much better and easy for red.

Miki concentration needs to be improved.
