Jim Loy’s computer is down 12/29/2022

Thu, Dec 29, 11:23 PM - I was asked to please post on the ACF forum that Jim Loy’s computer is down so he may not respond to email for a week or two and I also tried to posted the same message on USA Checkers fb. Sincerely, JR

I originally got this situational from Brian Hinkle, who email me an update (Jan 1, 2023, 11:44 AM): "Yesterday, Jim was able to email me on his smartphone – which he just learned how to do – so now he can probably order a computer or get his old one fixed." "Happy New Year!"

Thank you Brian, Please let Jim know we appreciate his contribution to ACF, particularly publishing our bulletin. I'm working on getting Jim some financial help so he may continue his excellent checker journalism. I ask all checker players who enjoy reading and studying the bulletin to show it by chipping in and helping Jim get back up and running. Just respond here, and let’s get behind our ACF Bulletin Editor and Games Editor.

Do you realize what kind of fix we would be in and what we would have to do if we lost our editor? He doesn’t get a dime from ACF!

His service is totally voluntary, out of love for checkers and ACF. :bounce:

Thanks everyone. Your good wishes are appreciated. I also broke my ankle back in December; they tell me to never slip and fall on the ice. I can't drive with that walking boot on. I may have discovered Bigfoot. That is an old photo by the way. I am 75 going on 76. Was that a song from the Sound of Music?

Yesterday, I recovered 430 computer files of the games from tournaments and opening books.
