There is a new version of kingsrow available for download at my web site. This update includes a larger and stronger opening book and some search improvements.

Done. In the past two days I had seriously reconfigured my computer and downloaded most recent CB & KR & Cake versions.
Terrific ! Many thanks go to Ed Gilbert & Martin Fierz. We should assume now that difference between human published play and the theory generated by programs is around 50% or more. At first glance, looking just for only few hours, I find serious improvements to published play on 6 occasions and alot of "new-way-to-go".
The only problem I have today - with RAM, and this is the only thing where Ed and Martin can't help me

I am playing checkers, not chess.
