Dear Jan,

I was terribly sorry to learn of the recent and devastating tragedy which has struck New Zealand and all of the lives who have been affected.

I am praying for the recovery and survival of the survivors and for all those affected.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hang in there.

May God Bless,

What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

I just don't see how this has to do with the game and I have been seeing a lot of topics like this posted in this section.
Eric if you REALLY don't mean to be mean ....shut up... It's not like there's so much posting here that a few topics out of place will ruin your experience.
Your comment was not only mean, but insensitive and rude. Call the forum police or get over it and shut up.

Eric, don't worry, everything is OK and under control - the entire forum looks like broken board for long period of time, not much difference. You can post anything you want anywhere.

ACF website and forum must be separated.

I don't think official ACF website needs any forum at all - only news updated, games, positions and tournament news / announcements. If someone wants to talk and needs to be listening - (s)he can use psychology doctor.
Alex the only reason why ACF and forum should be separated is because of your behaviour.... because of your ill spirited comments, trash talking and insulting anybody that dares cross your path... Maybe you should listen to your own bloody advice and see a psychologist, you rude twat. Your comment was uncalled for and if you would realize the circumstances you would notice that....

Alex has always been a rude and uncaring man, nothings changed really. If the same thing had happened to him, dont worry he would be the first to be posting on every area of the forum. He only cares for himself, and only likes the sound of his own voice which is loud and strident,
Eric i posted on this board because i was absolutely shocked at what was happening in Christchurch(and still is)and didnt really think about where. This also relates to checkers, because there are Christchurch checker players that are involved in the disaster. And this has a general heading.

The people at one of my favourite 2 radio stations here in Brisbane ...TRIPLE M
are arranging a Charity Rugby Match between former Wallabies and Former All Blacks
in order to raise much needed funds for Christchurch...

I am really proud of their effort and i hope it's a sellout game ...

Dear Checker/Draughts players:

There are many Checker players who live in NZ . To date over 100 people have lost their lives and likely others burried and not found as yet. I watch the news and pray for the people there in Christchurch. Some years ago I was lucky to visit both islands of NZ.

To me if you don't like this topic YOU can go to broken boards to vent your dislike. Or NOT post at all on this forum. Nothing wrong in showing compassion for your fellow man. Those of us who are Christians need to pray .

I admit I am amazed at the coldness of some posts here. 100 people so far who have lost their lives is not a " broken boards " topic.

Tommy over the past few weeks i have started to see the light... i am the kind of person that believes in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt... but sometimes it's too much.

Alan you have obviously stated it far more eloquently and kindly than I could.... I agree with you totally.
NZ people can be very proud of the way they have been conducting themselves under duress...

There was no need to talk to me like that Danny. I apologize that I am not a bleeding heart like you. I honestly could care less about any kind of disasters... just part of life... move on... If everyone lived forever we would not have had enough resources for this world to last even this long. So in a way you can look at this as a good thing. The end secures future for new. Just my opinion and to each his own.

I believe in a forum that people should speak their minds in an opinionated matter. That is exactly what I see Alex do and he is constantly criticized for this. At least he is not fake and speaks his mind. Some mentalities just seem to clash I guess. I get along with Alex just fine. Maybe because we are both cocky ********.

But yeah.... back to something that is AMERICAN CHECKERS related. rating system is farther along in process. Testing will begin sometime this week and I need people to help with the testing. If your interested let me know.

Thank you and Good day.

Your daddy,

Eric Strange

I would like to see how flippant you would be and how concerned about world resources if you would have some relatives die on a disaster.... you are acting like a bloody knucklehead and this comment proves that you deserve what i told you and a crapload more, mate..... i know you are trying to be mr cool with this comment but if you look at what you said you would realize how callous that is...

Good day
mate you can accuse me of bloody anything but not of being a fake.... i am as real as they come.... i don't hide behind pretenses or say things to stir others up. I call them as I see them and if somebody needs a bit of a call to action i will say it, even if that makes me unpopular. I have a clean conscience....i have never said anything to seem nice... Just because somebody isn't fake it's no reason to be rude, callous , or "cocky ********" . we can speak our minds without insulting or provoking others, specially when they are suffering.... that is called a LOW BLOW.... and you know who delivers low blows????
SCUMBAGS.
G'day Mate

The fake comment wasn't meant to be anything towards you. I find what you just said to be pretty funny though... considering all you do is talk crap and insult people on here.

I have had family die in earthquakes... I am from California where we have lots of them so don't act like I do not understand. But yeah... just part of life.

Anyways... I am done talking back and forth about this.... I wont be in this topic anymore...
