I know you cant do every thing one time but when will you sepparate the ratings GAYP 3 MOVE 11 man.

So, I've now processed the ratings, entered results for the Barbados GAYP Nationals from last year, and then re-processed the ratings to verify that it rebuilds successfully. Other changes that I've made:
- Fixed tournament list and player details page to sort results according to the order that tournaments were processed in
- Updated tournament details page (example) to list prize details, tie breaker details and notes (if any prize, tie breaker or notes data exists)
- Added rating charts (example) for players with more than 1 event on player details page
- Player performance page (example) updated to include the rating change and new rating after each round - Note: the rating change / new rating is only available for tournaments processed using the latest rating system as i don't have data for older events on a round by round basis

I'll be rebuilding the ratings list a few more times over the next few weeks as I get cross-tables for missing tournaments.

Clint, I am wondering … you didn't process TN 2018, but processed IL 2018 which happened "LATER". This breaks chronological order of events. I am pretty sure that TN 2018 results later will be processed, but the question is - it will be recalculated in correct chronological order or it will be processed based on rating we ALREADY have NOW ?

If you recalculate it - the system should "remember" my and my opponents rating we had BEFORE TN 2018 started.

Can you provide here a bit more lights - how it works under new rating rules and regulations ?

Maybe we shouldn't update rating after EACH event, but deliver update list every 6-12 months … or 3-6 ?

Hi Alex,

TN 2018 hasn't been processed yet because I don't have cross-tables for it. I often have to rely on JR updating his website before I can enter results as that's the only source I have for cross-tables. I don't know if people are emailing them to Joe or somewhere else, but I don't see them.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, I will be re-processing ratings in the correct order after I enter results for older tournaments until we are all caught up. I also mentioned previously that people should not consider these ratings official as I'm testing the new rating processing scripts and we have many missing events.

How this works? Well, I created a backup of everyone's rating prior to any changes being made by my new processing scripts. Every time I re-process results it starts players off at that rating. This is what happened yesterday after I entered the Barbados tournament from mid-last year.

You might ask why process any ratings now if I don't have all the results. Well, I thought people would like to see their updated ratings now, rather than wait for x weeks/months until I have received cross-tables for all older tournaments, even if it means that ratings might be changed very slightly for some players each time they are re-processed. Of course there'a bit of a butterfly effect that occurs when an older tournament is processed since all those players could later play other players and slight rating changes trickle down through the system.

As for timing, I'd like to process ratings on a set schedule, such as the first day of every month, like chess does.

Ratings are being regenerated again at the moment. Once finished, it will include the following additional tournaments:
- 2017 New England States & District 1 Open
- 2018 Barbados 3-Move Nationals - Majors
- 2018 Barbados 3-Move Nationals - Masters
- 2018 North Carolina & District 4 Open - Majors/Minors
- 2018 North Carolina & District 4 Open - Masters

Other changes:
- fixed a bug that was preventing players with < 20 games from getting out of the 'provisional' status for future events, so anyone who has played a previously unrated player in the last year may see their rating has changed slightly as a result.
- fixed date of 2017 Youth GAYP WCM to force it to be rated after the 2017 GAYP World Qualifier - Women event

- 2017 GAYP Nationals - I think JR will be sending this to me soon
- 2017 Mid-Ohio Checker Meet
- 2017 Pete Schmucker Checker Meet
- 2018 Tennessee State Open - JR said he'd send this to me soon
- 2018 USA vs Italy International Match - I've messaged Ingo on facebook but no response so far
