Dear Jim,

Collecting together the games of Pillsbury and Emanuel Lasker is a great idea (perhaps you could include those of Chernev too: I very much doubt if there are any of Edward Lasker or Fred Reinfeld on record, although the ending of a Larry Evans-Wiswell game was given in ECB): I'm sure Mr Winter, of chess fame, would be particularly interested.

While there is no evidence that Bobby Fischer played checkers, in Profile of a Prodigy Frank Brady points out that Fischer had several checker books among his library (including California Checkers Chatter and the British Draughts Journal).

Mister Loy I think it is an awesome idea to collect the Pillsbury games ....
After reading your post I have been endeavouring to find the page in the Queenslander with those games...
I am a proud Queenslander and after a quick trip to the library ...here they are, I sincerely hope you enjoy them.
It is amazing we can find stuff that was printed over a century ago.
cheers,
Danny
