Memorial Service For Mr. Elbert Lowder

Post by Alan Millhone »

Dear Mr. Millhone:

Please post this message on your website. I am another niece of Elbert Lowder. He had eleven brothers and sisters. The only two remaining are my mother, Ramelle (Lowder) McDonald, age 83, and Louise (Lowder) Cranford, age 80. They would like to invite the checker community to a memorial service for Elbert on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at First Street United Methodist Church in Albermarle,North Carolina. Elbert was a life long member of this church. We hope that some of you can make it to the service- it would mean a lot to his sisters.

I would also like to join my cousin Sandy in thanking everyone for all their thoughts and prayers for the family in the loss of our Uncle Elbert. He was truly a special person and we were all very proud of him.

Thank you,

Myra Gonino

Mr. Millhone, I had checked directions in mapquest for Albermarle, NC and the system didn't find such city in the North Carolina state. Can you check again with Elbert relatives the correct name and/or directions.

I plan to be there.

Got it, thanks Patrick. 513 miles from my house, 8:30 hours, all way down to the south on 77 road.

BTW. Mapquest found an Albemarle city in Louisiana.

I apologize for the misspelling of Albemarle. If you google " First Street United Methodist Chrch in Albemarle, North Carolina ", it will bring up a map. The address of the church is 509 N. 1st. Street, Albemarle,N.C. 28001
