Hello everyone:

I have on hand 7 copies out of the original 50 numbered copies.

Need one ? Better order one:-) Use PayPal on our ACF Store, or order directly from me $20.00 USA and $25.00 rest of the World.

the book contains info on most or all? which is something i enjoy about checker books
the last name on the list was at last years nationals and everyone knows his name.....plus in my opinion still one of the best players in the world at a youthful 90+
also includes some fotos of some of the players
charts as the rounds went by
and annotated games

Hello Patrick:

Yes 10th. is similiar to Dr. B's OHIOAN . Both are excellent and will make welcome additions to any players library. Both are also excellent value for the content you will receive.

Patrick is correct ............. The cover page of 10th. Am. Ty. was circulated (all 50 cover pages) to Mr. Fortman , Mr. Loy and bac kto me for individual signatures. I felt this added a more permanent personal touch to the book.

I am sure Dr. B has a few OHIO books left to sell as well.

in future checker books about tournaments i would like a small page or even a paragraph maybe about the playing venue.....
was there saw dust on the floor in the back of the barn in 1856
or was it a really nice casino in 2002...the only way the future will know is if we tell them
but maybe this isnt important but i like what it adds
perhaps this is done as much as possible as far as costs go

As I plan to be one of the authors of future tournament books, I'll see what I can do. Unfortunately, I don't have Dick Fortman's reservoir of great stories to share. But I'll try to get a few impressions of the tournaments from some of the participants.

yeah jim thats what im talking about
alot of the old players are leaving us ....and their memories and experience are going with them......
mr fortmans annotations are great.....and often i find i enjoy going thru the books just to find a lil side story he might tell .....more than the play
