Greetings all....I e-mailed Bobby with the following ....

Greetings Bobby,
I found your post on the ACF Forum, regarding the New Jersey State Title.
If there is no current State Match Champion, do like they did in the old days......send out a challenge !!!
If no one answers within a designated period of time...CLAIM IT !!!
You would not need an ACF endorsement to be NJ State Champ...but, if you want to be recognized by the ACF...you better be an ACF member.
Prepare some Articles of Agreement...which should include the date, the place, number of games, the title involved...etc., etc., ....basically anything reasonable that a potential opponent would agree to.

This is how it used to be done...there is nothing stopping you from doing this now.
Best wishes to you in your future Checkeristic endeavors...... !!

Regards

Jay H

:D Hoping Bobby picks up the ball and runs with it.... :D

Before someone goes to the trouble of sending out a challenge it may be of importance to know that New Jersey has a state champion and he is an active player (He's played in the last few National Tournaments), his name is Alexander Weaver and he holds both the GAYP title and the 3-move title.

I believe the last New Jeresy Tournament was in 2005 so I'd say get with Alex and organize a State Tournament next year.
