Dr. Richard Beckwith has his PhD in chemistry and a career chemist at Ricerca Biosciences, LLC, a drug development company in Concord, OH. Here is an August 2009 article from Ricerca workplace newsletter "Insider" written by Matt Mortesen, another employee there. The insider is published 3 or 4 times a year on the company intranet.

So nice and so lovely artricle about Richard. They didn't mention only that he spends 25 hours a day with checkers activities, and in addition it seems like he also is a high professional and very successful in his career as chemitrist.
I am playing checkers, not chess.
