Nice coincidence

So my wife and I are sitting at one of those Japanese steak house hibachi grills with 6 other people and the couple next to me starts talking about how husband won a game from wife by jumping one of his own men and then one of hers. Wife is pretty sure that's against the rules so I chimed in, say, yes, you can't do that in any variation that I'm aware of. Conversation turns to checkers, life in general, where are you from, etc. Husband and wife are from Ohio, right, I used to live in Toledo, spent a year in Columbus, really, we live outside of Columbus, I say, well, you know the world champion of checkers is in Dublin. Turns out they live in Dublin. Husband says, yes, I did read something about that guy in the local paper.

This conversation is taking place in Cancun at one of those all-inclusive resorts on December 30.

Alex, if you have a visitor show up with a checkboard looking for tips, blame me.

Me and my wife like all-inclusive ! We were on family vacation in Cancun several years ago. One thing I remember - how I go up and down on Maya Chichen Itza pyramide with 365 steps ... uhhh !!! Way down was very challenging, because a crazy rain started when I was half way down !
