As many of you know we are working to issue a new printing of RLF's "Basic Checkers." All seven parts will be in a single 500 page volume, newly typeset, perfect-bound in 6x9 trade paper format, with color covers, to be available (we hope and pray) in time for the 2010 Nationals in Mr. Fortman's honor. 100% of profits go to the ACF youth fund.
In the introductory material I've saved space for an appreciation. If you have something you'd like to see included--- perhaps you knew RLF, or were greatly influenced by his work--- please email bobnewell@bobnewell.net. While I can't give a blanket guarantee to include everything, for obvious reasons (and I have to reserve the right to edit), I'd really like to hear from you. I'll need a reply no later than the first week of June as the schedule is tight.
