I too received the bogus email and upon a cursory glance deduced it was fake. This sort of thing is happening a lot these days and it is amazing how many fall for it. We checker players, however, are too smart to fall for such a scam :)

Tommy,

I also recieved this.
And did not sent any money.
I hope you don't take it personally ;-)
But I am old and I needed the money myself :-))

And I am glad that you are fine and in Ireland.

Bit short in Sterling, but have loads of euros. Being a tight fisted Scotsman, (I am not from Aberdeen by the way), Could anybody calculate the current exchange rate to the nearest cent what it would take my old buddy from his dreadful dillemma?
