Thank you sincerely Jan. Many thanks to my friend Mac Banks for providing me with the cooks which enabled me to win the event :)

What do you like about checkers?: I enjoy learning more and more as i go. despite its alleged simplicity the game is incredibly complex and rewarding.

Cooks? I thought checkers was solved! Congratulations on your victory in mail play. Checkers is indeed a big game, from mail play to one minute games! --George Hay

It depends what you mean by "solved." I think computer programs have "solved" some of the openings but the mind of man will never achieve such a thing. Incidentally, I never use programs in mail play but prefer to burn the midnight oil instead. I find it much more fun :D Thank you for your kind words.

Congratulations on your victory, Lindus, and for doing it the way it should be done.

I never used a computer in postal chess either. What would have been the point? I won some and lost more but they were honest wins and losses.

Congratulations again on a job well done.

those people that say checkers has been solved obviously never played it or understand the game....
a computer can be trained to mass produce paintings , it will never create a Mona Lisa ....
