Nigel Proffitt

Post by Lindus Edwards »

My good friend Nigel Proffitt had a triple bypass operation today. Nigel was British and English Open Champion at mail play. He is the current 11-man ballot mail champion of the world.

Here's wishing Nigel a full and speedy recovery.

A lot of checker players have had heart problems this year. I don't know Nigel but from one checker player to another I also wish him a speedy and full recovery.

Lindus,
Yes, back in the day, Nigel was certainly known worldwide as one of the strongest mail players. Had #1 rung on many ladders. Please pass onto Nigel my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hello Lindus,

I am very glad to hear that Nigel is recovering well from his triple bypass surgery.

I enjoyed many many matches with Nigel back when I was active in mail play.

He was always a tough competitor and a class act. A true gentleman.

Please tell him I said hello and express my well wishes for his continued recovery.

Best Wishes,

Dennis

His contribution to real game and publish play was tremendous and awesome. Some of his analyses are classic milestones today.

Lindus, please pass him my wishes of fast and easy recovery.
