Greetings Alex,
I hope you do not mind me asking you an open question here on the ACForum....answer if you like, but I will not be offended if you choose to not answer.
My question to you is......
Do you intend to enter the next ACF National tournament ? And....(ok...maybe two questions ) If you win it, will you enter the international qualifying tournament to win the right to challenge for the World 3-Move Title.....?
In my own opinion.....you and Borghetti have to do (at least) one more match............you need a "bully"......you two have created one of the greatest rivalries ever in this game....
I know you still have the 11-Man Ballot World Title, which you need to consider in your future plans....
I am just wondering where your position is regarding the 3-Move Title.....
Regards,
Jay H

Re: Mr. Alex Moiseyev.....
Hi, Jay ! Here are my answers ...
1. Yes, I certainly plan to attend ACF National this year, no doubts.
2. Yes, I plan to win it (haha) but sometimes my opponents are not very cooperative.
3. Yes I will play in QT in Louisville in November. But I don't plan to limit USA players - I have rights to be endorsed by WCDF as participant of last world title match.
4. After heart attack, small surgery and recovery, my health conditions are much better and I want to give the current World Champion Michelle Borghetti a shot. I quit smoking (it is 4 months now), taken some diet and doing physical exercises
5. I don't think it will be an easy task to win QT, but I'll do my best. I am inexperience with QT's and played only once in 2008 in Beijing. However I don't think it's any harder then USA Nationals which seems to me to be stronger events then QT ... Just my personal opinion.
6. I always try to win any checkers event I attend, QT is not exception.
7. Absolutely nothing happened with me and my checkers career plans and ambitious after I lost match in Italy except one thing - I've got suffix "ex" before my World Champion Title
Anything else is the same.
8. One or another way my name is already written in checkers history, there is absolutely no needs for me to prove anything. This makes my life easy now
9. We don't have revenge-matches in WCDF but one with Michelle would make sense. I'll do it my best to get there and earn rights to play world title match.
10. For the time now I don't see any good young player in USA who has real chances to fight for the 3-moves world title in the next 5-6 years.
11. My next checkers events this year will be 11 man ballot National in Burlington, Jan 31 - Feb 2, TN State in Lebanon in March
12. I restored my online activity and started playing in Internet on Kurnik.
13. My major opponents in QT could be such well known outstanding players as Shane McCosker, Sergio Scarpetta, Jim Morrison, Richard Beckwith, Ron King, Lubabalo Kondlo, William Docherty, Richard Hallett, Jack Francis, Hugh Devlin ... hmmm, maybe Matteo Bernini but he needs to work hard to be ready by November.
Regards,
Alex M.

Greetings Alex,
Thanx for the response....and you answered many unasked questions as well as those I asked !! I was not sure where you stood as far as your future in the game (regarding 3-Move)goes...but, I now know based on these responses....
"7. Absolutely nothing happened with me and my checkers career plans and ambitious after I lost match in Italy except one thing - I've got suffix "ex" before my World Champion Title

There were one or two posts you made after Moiseyev-Borghetti II where you touched on the subject of your future within the game that made me wonder, but I know now.....
"9. We don't have revenge-matches in WCDF but one with Michelle would make sense. I'll do it my best to get there and earn rights to play world title match."
THAT is the one I wanted to see !!!
You two Grandmasters need at least one more match.
Earn the right, get there, and make another great match ...!
Thanx for keeping on keeping on !!!
Best Regards
Jay H

Re: Mr. Alex Moiseyev.....
I forgot to mention - this year, 2014, I am double freshman: in college (Paul) and high school (Clara). This makes my life so interesting and attractive - I feel 40 years younger!
Paul is interesting neuroscience and psychology - so, I have a personal psycho doctor now with no charge.
Recently he explained to me that bi-linguistic people (all immigrants ?) who can speak on more than one language, have more and better developed brain

Re: Mr. Alex Moiseyev.....
Dear Joe, it would be very nice if you, Clay and anyone else consider my post as challenge and it would be double and triple nice if you prove that my pessimistic statement is totally wrong!
In order to fight and win a title it is not enough to have strong, outstanding level of play, you also should have champion attitude: very strong psycho stamina and killer instinct
Respectfully,
Alex Moiseyev

Congratulations on quitting smoking and your improved state of health!
You are doing well. Keep up the great work.
I also want to wish you the best of success in the QT.
Say, have you ever thought about joining Facebook?
It can be a lot of fun. If you join, you can try some of the math problems and puzzles I like to post.
Good luck to you.
Best Wishes,
Dennis
