We have had several articles posted in the news recently. I think this is great coverage! JR has linked to the articles for the VA tournament, but I will repost them here for exposure.

2014 Chester Jones Checkers Tournament (Mayberry Days in Mt. Airy, NC)

I have a physical copy of the Mt Airy News on the way, I'll get it scanned and sent to JR for postin on his site as soon as I can. It was good to see new faces in checkers, We had two players under 10. My opponent in the picture at the Mayberry Days tournament was a fairly good player for a 7 year old. I gave him a couple of opportunities for gaining pieces back and he took some of them but did not see the shots I left open. I tried talking to his dad to gauge his interest but he did not seem very open to discussion.

- What do you like about checkers?: I love that the concept of checkers is so simple, yet the games have a complex beauty that comes alive during play.
