Looking for information on Mr. Earl Hangen

Hello everyone:

I just now attempted to call our ACF Mail Play Director, Mr. Earl Hangen of Reading, Pa. The line rang once each time I attempted to call him and then nothing but silence.

Has anyone heard from Mr. Hangen lately or know of his family I might contact to see about him? Any information would be appreciated in this matter.

Alan I just finished having a very long telephone conversation with Earl. He has been experiencing a very bad health situation--losing his memory for over 6 months, etc. Earl lives alone and he does not have anyone to help him with just the daily chores that all of us encounter, so being 78 years of age he is finding lifes challenges very hard just to accomplish. He would welcome it if someone else would step in to take over his checker responsiblities. It is his hope and prayer that someday down the line he will be able to return, but for now he is not able to perform them effectively. He stated that he is feeling a little better today, but that varies day to day. I am sure that he would welcome all of us keeping him in our thoughts and prayers.
