Alex vs Ed Trice, 2004, Phili

Post by Alex_Moiseyev »

It is true that I played Ed Trice at his house in 2004 in Philadelphia when I visited my old son. Indeed - it was not a formal match. We did not even have checkers and played with black and white pawns on a chess board :D .

Ed played my son some chess and gothic chess, for a couple of hours

Actually, we discussed many things about checkers and programs, we ate dinner, drank beers, and only played 3 blitz games at the end of the night.

Ed was in no condition to play a normal game seriously, having some problems with back, it was late, we each had beers, and it was just for fun. I enjoyed my time with him and his family (daughter and wife), and wished him a speedly recovery.

Ed graciously gave one gothic chess set to Michael, and Michael is still caring it and play occasionly with his friends.

Regards,

Alex
I am playing checkers, not chess.
