Igor Keder, Ingo Zachos and everyone else who particpated in the "WCDF Rating and Titles" project, Ron King by winning ACF Nationals and 3-moves QT - the strongest events this year.

More later.

 This years selections were not very hard for us to make. From the World of Checkers Museum we went behind the scenes for one of our selections for the annual "Outstanding ACF Personalities of the Year". The gentlemen that we have picked is most deserving of this honor. He has spent countless days and hours doing research on the internet in search for the answers to most all of our "Checker Trivia" questions. Not only has he done that, but he has worked very hard in researching other websites in order to accompany those questions and answers with pictures. Now for this honor our choice this year goes to "Ed (Palomino) Bucker". And I would personally like to thank Ed for his wonderful contribution to our ACF Forum "Checker Trivia". Our second choice goes to "Alan Millhone" for the part he has played in the creation of our fine ACF website. For him the management of our ACF website has been a 24/7 job to be sure (and it has not been easy)--for just keeping his good sense of humor, as well as struggling to keep harmony among a few conflicting checker/draught personalities; plus maintaining a wholesome atmosphere on the Forum has really been a huge challenge for him--(there is no telling how many grey hairs Alan has gotten from this ACF venture). From "Inky" and myself we would like to personally thank Alan for making "Checker Trivia" a special part of our ACF Forum. Ms. Becky

I'll postpone my nomination for player of the year until after the King-Morrison match match.

But no doubt the best achievement this year was the release of the first game collection written by a World Champion, so here Alex Moiseyev wins easily and most deserved for "The Sixth".
