Patrick,

I'm not sure what happened here, as I see you are a member in good standing, so you certainly deserve your bulletin copy in the mail. Your name appears on our roster, so I know it is being postmarked. Have you had any address changes in the past year?

New address for Patrick Parker

Post by Macb »

Patrick,

Please email me at mbanks36@hotmail.com and give me your correct mailing address. I send an updated roster to sir speedy every two months so you won't get the Dec. 2006 bulletin either. Alan Millhone has extra copies and can send you the Dec. bulletin but he will also need a good address. From what I have been told by Al Lyman, who used to be the bulletin editor , and responsible for mailing out the bulletins. Al told me a couple of years ago that the post office won't forward bulk mail. Always keep the ACF secretary or any ACF official on your correct mailing address and anyone of us will ensure that the bulletins are mailed to that address. Sorry for your inconvenience, but I wish you would have spoke up early about your problem.

All the best,
Mac Banks ACF Secretary

I'll also add the ACF, starting with the current December issue, began putting an "address correction requested"-type statement on our mailing labels in case a bulletin goes to an undeliverable address. This should also help alert us should someone move or pass away. However, it is still preferable to notify the ACF secretary of changes, as this mailing label addition is not a free service when a bulletin is returned, as far as ACF is concerned.

 Patrick I think that if you check with the U. S. Post Office that they will tell you that the ACF Bulletin does not come under the heading of things that are forwarded. Therefore it is your responsibility (as it is all ACF members) to inform the ACF of moves that you may make so that the ACF Bulletin can be sent to the correct address. "Merry Christmas" "Inky"

 Patrick a little patience is a virtue that we all have to learn to cultivate from time to time. I am sure that if you direct your concerns to Alan (via email or phone) that he will assist you in working through them. Missing ACF Bulletins is not a new problem that affects you alone. All of us have experienced that problem at one time or another. And Alan has worked very hard to eliminate it throughout his tenure in office. Before Alan's presidency more dead players received their ACF Bulletins than live ACF members missed theirs, so the situation has improved ("Checker Trivia"). Billions of pieces of mail go through the U. S. Postal System every day--and there is no guarantee that each piece will reach its destination. Several years ago I paid a little extra to have my ACF Bulletin sent to me via "First Class Mail", which may be a solution that you will want to consider. "Merry Christmas" "Inky"

Dear Mr. Bucker,

My records indicate your membership renewal date was September. I'm guessing there may have been an oversight in sending in dues, or else an oversight in getting the roster updated. You may wish to check your latest membership card. The secretary and treasurer's addresses are on the bulletin cover and under the ACF info/Join the ACF menu here.

I have also proposed to the Exec adding expiration dates to the address labels on the bulletin (commonly done with other magazines) as an additional reminder, as I have found many people simply forget to pay their dues (and I have been guilty myself before in doing this!).

Patrick....

I'm not sure what happened with you. Alan may be able to arrange mailing out some back issues.

Rich,

I paid my membership renewal alone with my entry fee to Roger at the 6th District/ Indiana tournament this past August, I guess somewhere along the way it didn't get recorded. I'll give Roger a call and also Alan.

Missing ACF Bulletins

Post by Alan Millhone »

Hello " Pal " , Patrick and any other ACF Member:

Soon as you have not (given ample time) received your bulletin or paid your dues, etc. and detect a problem, simply let me know ASAP. In my office I have back bulletins and can put a missing bulletin into the mail the next morning. We are doing our best to make the member list the most accurate it can be.

If you have any problem, let me know:-)

Sincerely:
Alan Millhone, President
