Hello Everyone:
This morning began the final day of the match. Jim Morrison opened 11-15 and Suki replied 23-19 for the first time during the match! The game was the " Old Fourteenth" and followed along p.p. to a draw. Jim being behind 3 games and 3 to play could not unseat Suki so the match was concluded.
I brought along 2 signed books by Mr. Victor Niederhoffer, "EDUCATION OF A SPECULATOR ". One chapter in his book deals with how board games has played a roll in his life. Special thanks to Mr. Niederhoffer for his generous contribution to this match.
I also want to thank Mrs. Walker for excellent meals and to the ICHF for providing an excellent playing room for the players and myself and for lodging during the match. I had a wonderful time as referee for the first time in a World Title Match and learned much from this experience.
Jim Morrison is riding with me and we will leave shortly for our trip to his home. I will spend the night at his home and then leave for Belpre,Ohio on Sunday morning.
Sincerely:
Alan Millhone, President

Long live the old and new Champion of Checkers, Ron King.
And may the challenger, Jim Morrison, repeat the success he had in Prague in 2005, that gave him the right to challenge.
I can't wait to see the games, and to see the next Qualifier in Las Vegas, that might even produce yet another worthy challenger for the victorious champion.
May the best man win!

Re: Day 6 Final day's results for King/Morrison GAYP Match
I just shorrtly spoke with Jim over the phone. Jim said that he missed a win in the game #6 and much stronger continuation in other game, which on any practical consideration can give him another win.
Ron King also missed a win in one game.
Jim said that overall he is satisfy with quality of games and this time he did it better than in 1996. No repeated games, and only few - over PP. Most games were original and generated an exciting fight.
I join with Ingo to say - am eager to see the games !
