Checker Piece Storage!

Post by JMcDonald »

Got bored today, went to AC Moore and got some stuff to make this box for checkers storage. Turned out a lot better than I planned, the 2 checkers in the top inside are sitting flush with the felt I put inside and was a nice little touch. :D Im going to get the two checkers laser etched with my name or initials. Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks everyone. As to your answer John, I can make more only took me a couple hours to finish up. I was actually thinking about making a lot more and selling them to whomever would want one. I was going to put a tight ribbon on the top of the inside box lid, to where I could slide my deck in there. I can't do that with my box because I put 2 layers of the checkered felt. If I only put 1 layer, the cardds would fit right in side very well, but couldnt do the checker thing I did on the lid. I can also get a larger box maybe but I think it might be a little much " bulky" wise....I thought this size was perfect. I will see what I can do and make another and get back with you.
