As many of you know, CPL has huge collections of checker literature, but with the introduction of the new CPL web site, the checker links were lost.
I recently received the following e-mail from the Special Projects Librarian who knows the most about the situation. She has been most helpful to me. I encourage all who have an interest to contact her and let her know that her efforts on our behalf are appreciated.
Most of the Deweber collection still resides in more than 400 boxes stacked row on row, enough to fill a small house. But she, with the help of some summer hires, still managed to retrieve some information that I requested.
Here is her message with her contact information at the end:
Mr. Salot:
I am so pleased that you are happy with what I sent.
I am truly committed to getting the Deweber material
organized, but it will be a huge job.
The Library has just had a new website launched, as
you might have noticed, and all the "links" for indexes
and online stories that we have posted have
gone "missing" and need to be "relinked, " which is one
of my projects for today. I will then send you the new
online link for the Wales material.
Hope this finds you well.
Best,
Amy
