Today, in preparation for Christmas, we took down our Christmas tree, fairy lights and decorations from the attic. During the day I spent some time rummaging through the bric a brac that has accumulated there and among the cobwebs I came across some draughts memorabilia that might interest readers.
Some of you may remember a player from Scotland who attended several tourneys in the UK during the 1970

Thanks for sharing your friend's poems Liam, I enjoyed reading them.

Hi Pal,
The poetry section on the NCC site is very interesting.
The poem by Willie Ryan in particular is quite moving and I also liked the one by J W Johnston.
Regards - Liam.

Hi Liam,
I remember Albert very well indeed. He was a lovely old gent whom we all missed very much. His poems were always enjoyed by us all. So nice to know he is not forgotten.
