From this photo it is appeared like they played Italian checkers, not Anglo-American, because the board turned around 90 degrees and the square 29 (A1) is white, not black.
However more likely, they just took the board and set randomly position for photographer and didn't really play the game.

Anyone looking at this picture would (if they were normal?) think,.......you gotta be joking,no way is this caption true. The little guy looks more like........ his great-grandson.Poor kid .......and bad film producer.

when I looked at photo, the very first thing I've done - jumped on position, not faces. What interesting with faces ?

If position is fake - faces also are fake.

I don't believe that intellectual pursuits featured highly in Regan's agenda (as any viewer of Spitting Image might well tell you).
Surely, the interesting point here, is why a man of his eminence would go to such lengths to appear to participate in a game, in relation to which another former President, Jimmy Carter, in a book, refers to:
"...checker players and other loafers..." *
* Reference - Oldbury's Encyclopaedia, page 120.

A good question Tommy- perhaps a DNA test?
Actually, they had a son Ron born in 1958. In the picture he looks about 10 to 12 years old, which would date the picture around 1970, when Reagan was Governor of California.

We just looked at the BIG picture.......thats what tells the whole story.
But i liked ol Reagan as Presidents go,he could act real good ......after he gave up the film industry.
