Update on things:

I am currently mailing out booklets to those who contributed to Moiseyev-Borghetti Match. Booklets are 38 pages of annotations with a few color photos. I have some extra booklets -- $8 (including US shipping) to help pay for printing. Add $3 for overseas shipping. Send check or money order to Richard Beckwith, 34490 Ridge Road #115, Willoughby, OH 44094, or make ACF Store Donation via Paypal. For those who can wait a few months, I will also submit same games for next ICHF annual Checkers magazine (for 2011 events). The new 2012 ICHF magazine (covering 2011 events) is ready. This edition presents games from Moiseyev-Borghetti 3-move match, Amangul’s ladies match, Moiseyev-Laverty 11-man ballot match, games from Italy, Alex Moiseyev interview, and more. Cost of magazine (301 pages) is $25, plus $5 for overseas. Charles Walker wrote:

There are also a new book by Jim Loy (games of James Ferrie), and a children’s classroom storybook relating to checkers called, “The Checker Players.” (The latter book is more storytelling with interpersonal relationship themes, rather than teaching checker strategy.)

Having received and thoroughly read this publication I can say it is an outstanding publication with something for everyone. Well done to Richard for contributing excellent material. Looking forward to the next one already!
