VA 2010.

Post by Alex_Moiseyev »

I don't see announcements on ACF website regarding VA Open 2010. However, I heard rumors from Victor and Ryan that something exciting is on the way  Can you update us, guys ? This tournament was actually on my list "things to do" but I have only 2 vacation days left to the end of year and there are many ways to spend them

Just find announcement huh Maybe getting blinded

I certainly will be there ... if nothing serious stop me on my way - due to my family and job commitments.

So - you can make annoncement about this. I learned for years - sometimes it improves overturn: some people want to meet me and other want to beat poor Alex  My visit also raises an interest of local media.

I am curious with one thing only - how the hotel price of $65.99 per night in Motel 8 could be considered as discount rate ???

I've got the same rate and already made reservation. Mapquest suggests 3hr 50 minutes and I plan to leave earlier Friday morning and arrive before 11 AM.

See you there,

Alex,

Maybe the rumor of something exciting at VA 2010 is you. The Virginia players may let you play blindfolded.

I am one of those who would like to meet you.

Hello Alex, and others interested in VA Open.
I am curious with one thing only - how the hotel price of $65.99 per night in Motel 8 could be considered as discount rate ???
I got on the phone with Mr. Neal Singh, General Manager, telling him I'm taking a lot of heat on $65.99 which does include the playing room, but players are quoting $56.09 thru IHS Advantage.com, Expedia and Hotel.com are offering same room at $55 and $56. They are telling me they can stay at Days Inn just 1,000 feet up the road for $44 - advance or $55 at check-in confirmed or close-by Budget Inn for $50.00

We have use Super 8, Bedford as our checker tournament venue since 2002, eight years of loyalty, agreed you purchased the property this year (Indians). Let’s see some customer appreciation and favorable pricing to your established clientele in the present economy. Neil said he would ask the owner if he could do $59.99. We will know tomorrow.

I know the Super 8 is superior to Days Inn and Budget Inn. I've visited their facilities and reviewed internet reviews & comments.

Our block of rooms will be available until September 1, under Checker Tournament

Due to some things going on with my grandfather, I will not be able to attend next weekend. I am going to have to fly to Oklahoma to be with my family. I am sorry if I have disappointed anyone who is planning on attending and I would have loved to be able to make it. I know Buck Smith will put on an excellent tournament and I wish everyone well. Thank you for your understanding.
