I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Dr John Reade for acting as referee at the English Open held on the Isle of Wight recently. John, you always give your best without looking for thanks but I am sure that all players are of the same mind as myself, in that you are the best at what you do.
Another debt of gratitude is owed to Ian and Joan Caws for obtaining a great venue and for all the hard work they do behind the scenes.
