Wayne, this is a witch hunt! As you are a potential candidate for ACF President, how do you handle claims of cheating? Is it to be by trial by internet forum?...I stand by my earlier posts on this topic. Mr. Alex's claim that people forgot ("short memory") is also false. We will never forget! --George

Are you really surprised, George? The same thing happened to Gene and Gary Ellison. Trial by internet forum, indeed. Very ugly.

The barbarians have their horses tethered beneath the walls of Rome and if we don't take a stand we're probably all gonna be swept away.

There you have it, alas.

Fair enough, John. I'm through.

But it's hardly "continued finger-wagging". Accusation of wrongdoing on a public forum is a serious issue and it will eventually need resolution, which, I think, is all anybody is asking.

Can't disagree with you there John and isn't it a shame that the good news of details for the 2011 Women's 3-Move World Championship Match announcement has been hi-jacked and over-shadowed by all of this?

Gary, I am not surprised, but I am saddened. Early on I had a bad impression of the Ellison Brothers, although my impression of them is now good. It was only when you and other checkerists defended them were they vindicated! I saw how I could jump to conclusions!

P.S. My impression of the discussion on this topic (Women 3-moves WCM 2011) is much different than JohnAcker has characterize it. My own posts are not against Mr. Alex, they are for the truth.

P.P.S. Pal has made an excellent point!

John, despite all our differences you know that I hold you in very high esteem. (don't you?). I disagree that this accusations from Mr Moiseyev should continue either on or offline. It won't achieve anything at all, and most people won't change their opinion on this matter.

Like George said I am not against someone, I am standing up to what I consider (IMHO) a great injustice. As Pal mentioned there was no need to dredge up the past while making the announcement.

I'll let sleeping dogs lie for now.... But my gut feeling is others won't let this topic go quietly into the night.

Cheers from a checkers nut downunder

Its only a witch hunt if the readers believe Alex, who has a long history of wrongdoing on the forum.I can only wish Toyeva and Amangul well now that a date has been set,but if Alex continues in this vein i might be forced to rehash all the history of my attempt to get a match, and i dont want to do this, past is past, and its time to move on.
Alan,as the president of the ACF,you have just spoken out about attacks on members on the forum, and Alex actually agreed with you, which left my head shaking on he who speaks with forked tongue.
Are you going to do something about this,or are you just uttering mere words?

I think there are times in your life not to forget , but to forgive, or old hostility will take control of your lifes and future decisions.

I am the last without sin, so I will not throw a new stone in this heated debate.

I just want to say that I hope this match will be played and that we all together may work on the future of the Women's World Titel, and the future of our game in general.

And that we may never lose our love of the game, and that we respect that others love the game as well, even if we do not love them.

I just received extremely short comment from my good friend and highly respectable gentleman in checkers fraternity, Hoja Durdyev with match results after 1st day:

"1 day - 8 points".

My own transalation is - Amangul Berdiyeva won all 4 games. I sent a question to Hoja - if my assumption is correct and asked him about 2 openings which were played.

Hoja also asked me to thanks everyone who congratulated Amangul wih her marriage. For Turkmen people family values are priority #1.

More later.

It seems like this year woman world title match generated a good interest - almost 60 posts on this topic in last few days. I will read all of them after I come back from my match. I am eager to see text of games and wondering what will be the final score ...

The only interest this match generated Alex was drawing attention to your disgraceful conduct.

Games 5 and 6 finished with draw (perhaps easy opening ?), Amangul won games 7 and 8.

Hoja Durdyev was a bit curious - why all people who wanted to promote woman checkers didn't donate (yet) any penny to this match. Amangul personally thanks everyone who congratulated her with marriage.

There is a chance that match can finish earlier if Hurmagul doesn't do anything special and turn things around.

Respectfully,
