Florida State Tournament (Message from Mark)

Hello all,

I go by the name of Mark(aosch1ld) and I am a Kurnik checkers player. I've always been interested in actual tournaments but I want to start in-state and work outwards, instead of traveling far for my first tournament. Past 2 years I've been scanning this site for a Florida Tournament with no luck. The most recent info I found of tournaments in Florida was in 2009 and was hosted by a Joe Schwartz. If we could get something going it will be amazing, I have another internet player Elio (thumpingdrip) who has been in contact with Pat Tucci and even met up and played with him on occasions. I figured with Me, Elio, Pat, Joe and of course Hallet we have enough people that also relatively live in the same area to get something started. Florida is a talent packed State and shouldn't be put aside in my opinion. If anyone wants to help get something started by all means say so. If anyone wants to get in contact with me just tell Eric Strange and he will notify me.
