I just called and made reservation in Econo Lodge across the street. Looks like people turn this year is a bit lower - I remember one year everything was sold out 2-3 days prior tournament ....

On positive note - they had may name, address and credit card on file from previous years ! :D

I know Teal Stanley, Bobby Gerranger, Mike Ross, & JR Smith will be there, we're driving up tomorrow. I checked last week to get a feel for who was coming or approximately how many had pre-registered at Comfort Suites and gal didn't tell me or didn't know. This was after the dead-line of February 22 but she let me reserve 2 queens anyway.

Any results in all three Divisions ?

I was a winner of Master Division with 22 points (6 rounds 3x1), Michael Holmes, Jim Morrison and Vadim Lapin tied 2-4 with 18 points, and also from time to time in leading group were Alex Holmes, John Webster and Larry Keen.

Mike Ross won Minor Division and Tetiana Zaitseva tied for 2nd in major division but I don't remember who was a winner of Major Division.

What do you like about checkers?: I love the simplicity/complexity of the game. I became interested in the game as a child playing with my grandfather. Then studied checkers more in depth as a late teenager, but got away from the game for a while. Recently I have gotten my excitement back for the game. I'm working hard to improve my game. I hope to enter an ACF tournament in 2017. I check the forums daily and would like to interact with the other players. Thanks!

Richard

It was my first time playing in the TN tournament and I really enjoyed it! I didn't play very well in a lot of the games, but am proud of some of them. The main thing is I gained some experience and learned a lot.

I have played in several TN checker tournaments. They were all great tournaments. Does anyone have a list of the results of the 2018 TN tournament??

What do you like about checkers?: Always enjoyed the game and the challenge it brings. Just you and your opponent battling your minds. Also, it's just a friendly game that people can just sit and have fun playing while communicating with each other.

And it is even a smaller club of folks who have won games from you. Good luck against Italy. Seems like the U.S. has a very strong team.
