2018 Ohio Tournament

Ohio Tournament is coming on August 25 & 26. We expect prize fund to be over $700. Tournament starts Saturday morning in party room building at Georgetown complex (29033 Cedar Road, Lyndhurst, OH 44124).

It was about that time in the game when I started to feel a bit relaxed and was wondering why you weren't resigning. Should not have had that mindset knowing the strength of your endgame. Just took my eye off the ball for one move and it cost me.

It's funny because I was looking at this endgame diagram of the game between Alex and Joe thinking that I should remember this theme in case it ever comes up in a game. And then last week, after a midgame slip-up, I ended up in this position as Red to move:



I made the 12-16 move thinking that I had saved the day. I think my opponent went 14-10, but I stopped recording. We agreed to a draw a couple of moves later.

However, what neither of us saw was
