I talked with Igor Martynov recently in Rome. Igor says he can be at airport to coordinate a van (not for free) for players flying into Dusseldorf on Sept. 20 or 21 for those wanting that convenience. There are some challenges -- we don't know what time best make sense until we know from the players (who want the bus option) when they will land. Also, I think flying into Frankfurt is cheaper than flying to Dusseldorf, but Igor lives near Dusseldorf. Igor says you can also take trains from either airport (or from Cologne airport) to Korbach and that it's not too difficult, BUT it will take a few connections, so need to allow time for that. Igor can map out a train itinerary for anyone. (He also mentioned a low chance of train workers striking.) Alex Moiseyev's post mentioned Hotel Touric, but I don't have any alternate suggestions (not knowing the area).

Congratulations to Melikaya Nonyukela of South Africa for 1st place in the WCDF 3-Move Qualifier Tournament. Also congratulations to Matteo Bernini of Italy for 2nd place, and congratulations to Lukhanyo Dyanibokwe of South Africa for 3rd place.

Melikaya Nonyukela has earned the right to challenge current 3-Move World Champion Sergio Scarpetta in a World Championship Match. The WCM will probably happen sometime in 2025.

Congratulations to Nadiya Chyzhevska of Ukraine for winning the Women's World Championship. Congratulations to Tanya Zaitseva of Ukraine for 2nd place, and Anastasya Glusko of Ukraine for 3rd place.

Congratulations to Davide Gemma of Italy for winning the Youth World Championship. Congratulations to Conor Nee of Ireland for 2nd place, and Andrea Peirano of Italy for 3rd place. In 4th place and winning the Girl's World Championship, congratulations to Valeriia Yezhova of Ukraine.
