Post by WLSC »

Hi everyone:
The result of the recent world mailplay championship was 0-0-24 Mac retains his title. He is one great champion. He played hard and did not hold anything back. He played brillant on the weak side of many difficult opening and through some strong moves with the strong side. He is the deserving champion. Congrats to mac and all the best

Congratulations Mac on retaining your world championship. You make moves that I could only dream of making. The standard of your play against Bill Carter, a very worthy challenger, was simply wonderful.

I join with Lindus and all others to congratulate the reigning mail World Champion Mac Banks with retaining his title. He had very strong opponent and I have very small doubts the games were at the highest level and quality.

I am eager to see the games when they will be available to public.

Congratulations to Roberto for hosting match.

Hello Tommy,

I was thinking about how much fun you and I had in Las Vegas a few years ago. Yes, Tommy, I will give you a chance to win the title as you are a great Mail player. Tommy, we can start the match on Monday 31 July, 2006. Pick 6 openings and I will pick 6. We will play a total of 24 games. Tommy, I played Bill Carter on Roberto's web site and I want to do the same with you. Our games will be on the site for all the members to watch as we progress in our match. To promote checkers, this is the way of the future. As a matter of fact, I am going to try and persuade Alex. to have his World title match available for all the world to see if he will agree as there is software now availoable that allows for this to happen. Tommy, email me at banksjrm@bellsouth.net and I will tell you how to get on to Roberto's site. Our match should be over in a month or less as I don't take that much time to move as I know these barred openings very well. Tommy , here are my six openings that I have selected. (1) 9-13 23-18 11-16 , (2) 11-16 23-19 16-23, (3) 9-13 2420 11-16 , (4) 10-14 22-17 9-13, (5) 10-14 2217 11-16 , (6) 11-15 24-20 12-16 Tommy, please contact me right away so I can contact Roberto to get things started. Good luck old friend in this match.

All the best,
Mac Banks

I know we had some hard tussles before in the QT and i wouldnt expect anything less from you.Playing on Robertos site is just fine by me.

I will consider this now and present my 6 openings to Roberto asap.

Thank you for offering for this voluntary defence and i accept in full.
