Re: DAY ONE WCDF WORLD QUALIFIER ROUND # 1
According points it seems like Michael Holmes beat Sune in one game, and Lubabalo Kondlo scored one win against Ed Bruch. Tournament intrigue is growing

Re: DAY ONE WCDF WORLD QUALIFIER ROUND # 1 and #2
Hi, Kim !
Thanks for details. I recognized pairings through score, but your message proved it and made easy. I wish you, Jan and Wilma good luck - we all need it !
Same with mans.
I am glad to see that Michael Holmes little bit recovered. Sune got a toughest danger competition he probably ever saw, and I wish him personally fast and easy recovery !
Sune, remember - it's never late !
It was a joke-sign among Russian players, that someone who joined event last minute must be a winner
I am talking about Tim Laverty.
And, of course, I forgot in my earlier posting that Jack Francis also is grandmaster ! He is a danger aggressive player and don't lose too often.
I don't know much about Lubabalo, but if he will have here the same tremendous luck he had in National - noone can stop him !
Personally I am backing my old friend Dr. Richard Beckwith, He didn't play well this year and it makes him as very danger player, because sooner or later it's gonna finish !!!
Richard, remember - our life like zebra: black line-white line-black line ... etc. Think that lines changed
Lets wait and wee.

Re: DAY ONE WCDF WORLD QUALIFIER ROUND # 1 and #2
Actually, according to by-laws of WCDF, tie-break procedure, in order, is:
1) look at their head-to-head result
2) Sonneborn-Berger points (a variation of American "honor points" and also common to chess)
3) Then, if still tied, play off on Friday until you have a winner
