Josh, I am not an owner of games, ACF does. To publish this particular position I'vce got permission from Alan Millhone ... no kidding. I am going to process all games and annotated Selected best games and positions from USA National 2008 - same way I did in 2006, but this year hopefully it should be ready in September, not December.

Alex

Josh Armstrong wrote:Excuse me, Mr Tommy sir. I do not appreciate your personal attack. I will be the better person and turn the other cheek. I mean, if you have nothing better to do but verbally assault a minor on a checker forum, what can I say. I will excuse this transgression. I am quite aware of the fact that you may not have had a proper education or upbringing. Or maybe you're just drunk. Either reason, it is of no excuse.

Hey, hey guys ... take it easy ! It was proved long time ago, also in chess, that non annotated text of games is not an intellectual property and cannot be claimed as such. One time one chess grandmaster suited the owner of games database and asked to remove his games from archive ... and lost case.

So, it is just my free choice to support ACF on this matter.

Hello Everyone and Mr. Alex who we saw at Vegas Airport tonight and in Columbus:-) I got home a little bit ago and will post my thoughts tomorrow. I had a great week and a very hard time in the Masters. More tomorrow ------------ I also want to thank Mr. Alex for taking the time to post the diagram and notes on one of his games.

Sincerely:

Josh Armstrong wrote:I remember buying a booklet like those on here. It was just a list of moves from the tournament, where the guy just ran all the moves through Kingsrow. The annotation consisted of something like this "10-15, hmm good move, PP 9-14." So you can understand my reservation about purchasing any two-bit booklet from ACF.
Dear Josh,

from your statement it is clear to me, that you never bought "Selected games and positions" which I selected and annotated for ACF 3-move National, 2006 It has 80 pages, 54 fully annotated games, each take 1-2 pages, alot of diagrams. In addition to Selected Games, this book (book, not booklet !) has what i call "Selected positions", totalling 30 more positions from tournament + opening index and ACF Tough deck.

This book is still selling from ACF Store on this forum and price is $15. I would recommend you to get it first and read which should keep you busy until 2008 Selected wull be ready ! :D

It was done in style very similar to "Sixth" and John Acker was again my editor.

BTW. The guy you mentioned has the name, Jim Loy, ACFB editor, author of many books, mail player and excellent annotator. I have all his books he published in last several years. Jim has diffenet style then I do, but it doesn't mean his annotations are not worthy to study. If Jim says "Hmm good move" that means alot to me and is a good food for thoughts !

Regards,

Alex
