It was 1. 10-14 22-18, 2.6-10.

Not too difficult, but Hugh mentioned he scored on that against Ron and Miki said Ron lost it against Alex more then one time.

Greetinx from Lille,

That opening is a lot more tough for Red than most people think. If white replies 25-22 it can be a very hard game for red.

From here it looks like there are only 3 standing,i expect one of these 3 will win,but i wouldnt bet bad money on either of them.Any one below 9Pts have a very poor chance barring miracles. You cant give Borghetti a 3 pts lead and hope to catch him!! So its down to Ron and Richard , Garrett is going great guns for the Irish. Should make top 5 no problem. The interesting thing is there are a few big hitters dwn on pts but one of these will prob decide the final outcome. Prediction :::::Rons not in great shape of late............So....1/BORGHETTI from Beckwith with King close by.

Can Beckwith find an advantage if he gets some of the NEW openings.Ron has shown hes not paid much attention to them and Michele may not have had time to go into any kind of fine detail. Your guess is as good as mine, its all in the melting pot.The changing of the guard is upon us.Its Borghettis to lose and Beckwith/Kings to win!! Whoever wins is an exciting fresh time ..........and the changing of the guard.

Richard chances are growing :D Ron now can't tie with Miki due to ba-a-a-ad Honor Points. Jim is still in "recovering-developing" mode. France has special love and luck to Chuck.

I think Richard has something to prove in this particular Ty.He s been coming on strong now for a few years this could be a BIG chance for him. I cant see any of his compatriots making the top.

I see they scheduled Sunday as an off day. Seems I was very wrong about Charles Freeman's chances to win. This is not an indication of how bad he plays but rather proof to me of how GOOD the other players really are. I hope I get to play in one of these tournaments soon. This is a vey high level and anyone playing in it that performs above 50% can honestly say they a one of the top masters. Obviously the winner is a totally awesome player. The next World three move match will be exciting and close.

Richard Beckwich is the new president - congratulations!

The general assembly was very peacefull and friendly - I was not at the FMDJ general assembly but I think it is safe to say that it was neither peacefull nor friendly. It was a very beautiful and emotional moment when Hugh Devlin stepped down. He should really be commended for all the work he has done through the years!

Only exception was some dissatisfaction with a game in the tournament that ran too long between Vitaly Shafir and Igor Martynov which had to be adjucated. The game was unfortunately adjucated wrongly and the result had to be changed after a protest.

Ian Caws stays as treasurer, John Reade as Secretary, Ingo Zachos as Public Relations Officer and I was elected new vice president.

Congratulations to Richard and Sune for being elected as new WCDF officers ! Also conhrats to John, Ian and Ingo for being re-elected This time unpredictale lady Democracy went into right directions :D

What are results of voting on FMJD GA regarding new FMJD statue ? Is Checkers still a section of FMJD or we have new statue ?

Many thanks to Mr. Hugh Devlin for his service. Exceptionally well done. I really hope he may have more time now and return to actual play.

Respectfully,

Well I don't have a precise account but I think the new FMJD statue was voted down - it is unclear if they still have an executive comitte - appearently it was COMPLETE chaos

Yes, but every scoresheet says "1. 11-15 Suki Wins."
I think Ingo is on him like a hawk - he has been warned a couple of times so I am assuming that he is recording now.

I can confirm that In world title matches Suki records all moves, but far from acurate. It was interesting to see how he push clocks when I record moves (and being short of time) and after game ... he ask me to give him my scoresheet for recovery :D :D

More on new FMJD statue drama

http://fmjd64.org/2012/a-new-fmjd-statu ... #more-1462

So far it's certainly a great news for us, but fight is not over. Only replacement of existing FMJD administration could help.
